You can't put off your dream: Belgian is cycling through Ufa to Shanghai

62-year-old traveler from Belgium, Claude Bruire, will join the Day of a Thousand Cyclists in Ufa.

The man left Brussels for Shanghai on a self-assembled electric bicycle with solar batteries. His route goes through Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, and China. The total length of the route is 12 thousand kilometers.

In Russia, his route goes through Moscow, Kazan, Ufa, and Omsk. He spent Victory Day in the capital, and plans to join the Day of a Thousand Cyclists in Ufa, the capital's Department of Physical Culture and Sports reported.

The Day of a Thousand Cyclists will be held in Ufa on June 1. This is a traditional mass cycling event that annually brings together thousands of participants for a bike ride around the city.
