"Ufa Necklace" presented in Rio de Janeiro

Ufa presented its solutions and projects for developing urban space at the Assembly of the Association of Cities and Municipalities of BRICS+ countries. Ratmir Mavliev, the head of the administration of the Bashkir capital, made the announcement. In total, mayors from 24 countries worldwide are participating in the Assembly's work.

"Our colleagues from other cities showed a keen interest in Ufa cases, especially in the "Ufa Necklace" project and the renovation of industrial zones. Much attention was also attracted by how we manage to harmoniously combine dense urban development with an abundance of green areas, which makes our city comfortable and modern," Ratmir Mavliev said on his social media.

Ufa proposed the creation of a working group on the rivers of the cities of BRICS+ countries.

"This initiative is not accidental. Ufa, a city situated between two rivers, understands the importance of integrating the water space effectively with the development of a metropolis. We understand the importance of a city coexisting with a river, reaping all its benefits while minimizing potential harm from human activities. The experience of interacting with a river in a fast-growing city is invaluable, and we proposed combining knowledge to look for the best solutions together,” Mavliev explained.
