Bashkiria presented "Merchant 2.0" Festival program

The hospitality festival "Merchant 2.0" will take place in Sterlitamak from August 8 to 10. The Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the Republic of Bashkortostan reminded that the festival was awarded the Russian Event Awards in 2022 and 2023, was included in the National Calendar of Events of Russia, and was listed among the 65 best tourist events in the country. This testifies to its high level and contribution to the development of tourism, local business, and crafts, noted the head of the department, Zukhra Gordienko

The leading festival site will traditionally be the Salavat Yulaev Square. This is a historical place where merchant fairs were held until the beginning of the 20th century. It is here that decorators will recreate the atmosphere of a country town, featuring shopping arcades, carts, merchant signs, and photo zones in the style of the 19th century. The best artisans from different regions of Russia and the CIS will present their products at the craft fair, one of the most popular areas of the festival.

“This year, we will try to make the festival especially rich and soulful. We will reveal the folklore traditions of the people living in our region. We want each guest to be immersed in the history and culture of Bashkiria, hear the songs of the people living here, see the crafts, and feel the values that folk customs and cultural heritage convey. This will be a holiday of friendship, respect, and peace,” said the head of the Sterlitamak administration, Emil Shaimardanov.

Let us recall that the festival is always attended by the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, lending it special significance among the creative events of the republic.
