The law on the protection of the rights of residents of apartment buildings was adopted today by the State Duma of the Russian Federation. This was reported by Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma, on his Telegram.
Now, management companies will have to report to owners on the work they have done, and the list of information for annual reports will be made uniform for everyone.
"This will allow us to standardize housing and utility services, increase the transparency of the activities of management companies, homeowners' associations, and housing cooperatives, and also make control over their work more effective. Since 2024, the State Duma has received 1,162 complaints about the work of management companies and their improper provision of housing and communal services. Almost all of the appeals are collective," Volodin commented.
Earlier, a measure to improve the quality of house maintenance was proposed in Bashkiria.
