Commemorative coin "Order of Victory" has become collector's item

The commemorative coin "Order of Victory" was issued in 2022 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the award's creation. The decision to issue it was made in 1943, and the coin has become a collector's item.

Its face value is 3 rubles. The coin is made of 925 silver (31.1 g) with proof minting quality. The diameter of the circle is 39 mm.

The order itself was made by hand using platinum, gold, silver, enamel, artificial rubies, and 174 small diamonds. It was awarded exclusively to the highest military leaders. Its first recipient was Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov, who received the award in April 1944.

The Bank of Russia Museum reported that 20 people were awarded the Order of Victory in total. All orders awarded to Soviet military leaders are kept in Russian museums.
