The renovation of Lenin Park in Ufa is scheduled to be completed by Republic Day in 2026, traditionally celebrated on October 11. This was announced by Arslanbek Khaidarov, Deputy Minister of Housing and Public Utilities of the Republic of Bashkortostan, during an interview with the Bashkortostan Management Center.
Khaidarov emphasized that all monuments and memorial zones within the park will be fully preserved in their original form throughout the reconstruction.
"Once the work is finished, the existing fountain will be transformed into a light-and-music installation, though its dimensions will remain unchanged," he said. "The renovated park will also feature an interactive zone, a small stage, and a children’s play complex, which will be inclusive for children with disabilities. The renovation plan includes the installation of ramps."
The Deputy Minister also highlighted the scale of the project, noting that the park contains more than 10,000 square meters of pavement, making the reconstruction extensive.
Work is set to begin on May 12, during which time the park will be completely closed to visitors.
The total cost of the renovation is estimated at 111 million rubles. Funding will come from federal, regional, and municipal budgets under the national project Infrastructure for Life and the federal project Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment.
