Melodies of Spring Festival opened fountain season in Ufa

On April 26, Ufa presented the Melodies of Spring festival to the city's residents and guests.

The festive events began on Salavat Yulaev Square near the Kurai fountain, where the Combined Children's and Youth Ensemble of Kurai players performed as part of the From the Origins program. The sounds of the Kurai, a symbol of the Bashkir fighting spirit, touched the hearts of all those present.

The celebration continued on Sovetskaya Square. The Eternal Glory to the Heroes program, dedicated to the heroism of the 112th Bashkir Cavalry Division and its commander, Minigali Shaimuratov, started here. The Ufa Song and Dance Ensemble Miras, soloists of the Prityazhenie song theater of the City Palace of Culture, and creative teams of the Motorostroitel Palace of Culture performed on the square. The cultural relay race continued at the Seven Girls fountain. The audience plunged into the magical world of the famous legend as part of the "Heroes Have a Woman's Face" program.

The "Spring Song" began playing on the square in front of the Iskra cinema. Guests were treated to bright numbers, aromatic herbal tea, and offered to try their hand at national games and crafts.

The melodies of spring also sounded on Lenin Square, where the Clock fountain was ceremoniously launched. The "Time-Forward!" program united violinists, circus studios, and dance groups from the city's cultural institutions.

The culmination of the festival was a large final celebration in the Kashkadan Culture and Recreation Park. Favorite melodies sounded on a specially equipped open-air stage - from Russian folk songs to jazz compositions and bright pop numbers.

Many city residents and capital guests came to see the first volleys of the light and music fountain this year. For all comers, the public libraries of Ufa have prepared an educational and game program, “Inspiration of the Great Victory”: quizzes, poetry microphones, and masterclasses.

The Melodies of Spring festival is a laureate of the 13th international final of the Russian Event Awards, which confirms Ufa’s status as one of Russia's centers of event tourism. During the day, the “May Waltz” was played at five key venues in Ufa, and everyone, regardless of age and training, could join the All-Russian campaign “Victory Waltz.”
