"Green Bashkiria" campaign participants planted more than 5.5 thousand trees

On April 26, the All-Russian cleanup day is being held in Bashkortostan, as well as throughout the country. This year, it is being held as part of the implementation of the federal project "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" within the national project "Infrastructure for Life".

Caring citizens, schoolchildren, students, volunteers, work collectives, and heads of republican authorities come out to clean up courtyards, streets, and public spaces. Residents tidy up the areas around their houses and clean flower beds and pedestrian paths.

The cleanup days were held in both public areas created under the national project "Housing and Urban Environment" and in areas designated for the All-Russian vote to select improvement sites this year.

In addition, today, residents of the region are participating in a single-day republican campaign for planting trees and shrubs, "Green Bashkiria". This year, the central theme of all planned events within the framework of this large-scale campaign is the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

"Today, tens of thousands of people throughout the republic have joined forces to make Bashkortostan even more beautiful, cleaner, and greener—many thanks to everyone who supported the call to take part in environmental events. We had a real holiday of labor in the name of nature and environmental protection. In addition, I am sure that people get aesthetic pleasure from the results of their labor. Let good traditions, like our campaign "Green Bashkiria", live for centuries," says the Minister of Housing and Community Amenities of the Republic of Bashkiria, Irina Golovanova.

In total, more than 5,500 large-sized trees and about 100,000 shrubs were planted throughout the republic as part of "Green Bashkiria". More than 45,000 people took part in the events, and 153 new thematic alleys were formed.
