Regional standards for creative industries development to be discussed in Ufa

The forum “Best practices for the implementation of the Regional standard for the development of creative industries” is starting in Ufa. The forum will bring together representatives of government agencies of Russian regions and the creative community to discuss current issues and exchange best practices, the press service of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan reported.

“We have decided that this forum will become a new page in the history of the development of a significant area in the republic — creative industries. Bashkortostan has enormous potential for its development. Creative people in various sectors of the economy create unique intellectual products, such as music, films, and new tourist routes. We want this product to have commercialization prospects, so that it influences the economy, people's well-being, and the development of the republic. This is a lot of work,” commented the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov.

According to Rustam Muratov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy, Bashkortostan, along with 50 other subjects in the country, is implementing the Regional Standard for the Development of Creative Industries. At this stage, the exchange of experience between regions that are successfully developing the creative direction of the economy is critical.

"Participation in this forum is, first of all, an opportunity to find new "allies", receive expert support and inspiration for the implementation of their projects. I am confident that the ideas and solutions generated during the event will become the basis for new successful initiatives in the field of creative industries," Rustam Muratov noted.

It is reported that the first day of the program will be held under the theme "produce." Participants will be presented with creative spaces in the region, and a project pitching session and a meeting of the producers' club will also take place. On the second day, successful cases of implementing the regional standard for developing creative industries will be presented. The forum is organized by the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Ministry of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

The regional standard for developing creative industries is a set of best practices presented in the form of twelve recommended steps for creating and providing regional support measures at the level of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as for developing creative industries. The standard was developed by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to promote new projects together with regional experts.

The goal of the regional standard for developing creative industries is to accelerate the socio-economic development of regions by fostering elements of the creative economy.

Based on the regional standard for developing creative industries, regions can create their system of regional support measures for creative industries, regardless of the current level of practice in use.
