Unemployment rate in Bashkiria decreased

The unemployment rate in Bashkiria for December 2024 - February 2025 decreased to 1.5%. At the same time, it is noted that today the regional labor market lacks almost 39,000 specialists in various fields - thus, one applicant at the labor exchange is willing to offer up to 5 vacancies.

"The regional labor market has pronounced signs of a deficit. The need for workers is high, including at strategic enterprises of the defense industry complex. Now we face another task - employing the SMO participants, who are now returning home. This work on the employment of our military personnel must begin immediately," commented the chief federal inspector for Bashkiria, Alexey Kasyanov.

According to him, the republic's enterprises owe their employees over 413 million rubles, and most of the organizations are located in Ufa.

"Almost 3.5 thousand residents of the republic are listed as victims. It is essential to establish close cooperation among all government structures, the security forces, and heads of organizations to return debts to people as soon as possible and take timely actions to prevent the accumulation of overdue debts and job losses. And most importantly, to prevent the destabilization of this sector of the economy,” Kasyanov emphasized.
