Starting from September 1, 2025, the time allocated for homework for schoolchildren in grades 1-4 should not exceed the approved standards. RIA Novosti reported this, citing a document from the Russian Ministry of Education.
As follows from the document, schoolchildren in the first grade should spend no more than 1 hour on homework, in the second and third grades - no more than 1.5 hours, and in the fourth grade - no more than 2 hours.
In addition, schools must monitor the amount of homework for each class in all subjects. At the same time, homework is recommended to be assigned during the current lesson. If there is an electronic journal, the teacher must duplicate all the information in it by the end of the school day.
To complete an assignment that requires lengthy preparation, schoolchildren need enough time to prepare.
