In Bashkiria, derivatization (treatment against rodents) is planned for more than 91.5 thousand hectares, and disinsection (treatment against insects) for more than 1055 hectares. The head of the Republican Disinfection Center, Pavel Mochalkin, announced this at an operational meeting in the mayor's office.
He noted that increasing the volume of treatment helps to reduce the incidence of dangerous diseases such as hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome, tick-borne encephalitis, and borreliosis, and the republic's healthcare saves about 70 million rubles annually on treatment and rehabilitation.
Traditionally, special attention is paid to parks, beaches, and other places where people are present.
