Advertising on extremist organizations' resources has been banned in Russia
The law "On Advertising" has been amended to prohibit the distribution of advertising on the Internet resources of extremist and undesirable organizations. The corresponding document signed by President Vladimir Putin was published on the official legal information portal.
The law "On Advertising" states that advertising is not allowed on the information resources of a foreign or international organization, a public or religious association, or another organization whose activities are recognized as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as on the resources of an organization whose activities are prohibited by the law "On Combating Extremist Activity."
The advertiser and distributor of advertising messages will be held liable for violating the ban.
