The country's Defense Ministry reported that the Pacific Fleet submarine Ufa fired Kalibr cruise missiles during exercises in the Sea of Japan.
The defense department added that the strikes were on sea and coastal targets. First, the submariners secretly moved to the designated area, from where the first missile hit the target above the water. The second missile hit the target on the Surkum tactical field in the Khabarovsk Territory. The firing range was more than 1,000 km.
Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Alexander Moiseyev thanked the Ufa crew for completing the combat exercises.
The Ufa submarine was launched in St. Petersburg in March 2022, and in November of the same year, the vessel became part of the Russian Navy.
