Mikhail Mishustin announced increase in social pensions

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that social pensions will increase by more than 14.5% from April 1, 2025.

People with disabilities receive payments, and those who have lost a breadwinner, as well as residents who do not have work experience or it is insufficient for the appointment of an insurance pension. We are talking about men over 70 and women who have reached the age of 65.

Pensions for military personnel, participants in the Great Patriotic War, and other categories of citizens will also increase. Pension supplements for test pilots and cosmonauts will also increase. In total, such indexation will affect about 4.2 million people. The budget has already allocated 85 billion rubles for these purposes.

"We are closely monitoring that citizens receive the funds they are entitled to promptly," Mikhail Mishustin emphasized.

The average insurance pension for non-working and working pensioners 2025 is more than 23.4 thousand rubles, and old-age insurance pensions are over 24.1 thousand rubles. Since February 1, they have been indexed by 9.5%. The amount of some insurance and social payments for combat veterans, disabled people, and families with children has also been increased.
