This year, within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," 280 km of roads that make up the region's backbone network will be reconstructed in Bashkiria—83 sections in total.
The Ministry of Transport recalled that the backbone network is the roads with the highest traffic. They connect Ufa with regional centers, lead to tourist sites, transport and logistics hubs, large industrial enterprises or clusters, and provide access to federal highways.
The department has set the task of bringing 85% of the backbone network up to standard by 2030. Currently, 70% of the network meets the standard, and another 2.5% will be added by the end of the year.
The total length of the regional backbone road network in the republic is 3,188 km.
