Ice on Yuryuzan River in Bashkiria has been blown up

Blasting operations on ice-jam-prone sections of rivers in Bashkiria are continuing. As reported by Kirill Petrov, Chairman of the State Emergency Committee of the Republic of Bashkiria, blasting operations aimed at preventing ice jams were carried out this morning on the Yuryuzan River near the village of Chulpan in the Salavat District.
Kirill Pervov emphasized that the explosions destroy the ice, which helps prevent ice jams and reduce the risk of flooding in areas near the river.
