Bashkiria schoolchildren win National Technology Olympiad

Bashkiria schoolchildren won the anniversary season of the National Technology Olympiad. The final of the Olympiad in the Big Data and Machine Learning profile was held from March 10 to 15 at the ITMO University in St. Petersburg.

The final of the Olympiad began with a subject round, where participants demonstrated theoretical knowledge of mathematics, computer science, and programming. In the team engineering round, teams had to develop an algorithm to evaluate the popularity of publications on a social media, considering reposts, likes, and dislikes.

"In the five-day competition, the Bashkir boarding school No. 3 students in Sterlitamak showed high results and all took winning and prize places. Danil Zazatsky won the final, Adilet Kalmurzin took a prize place. "Diniyar Muratshin was among the winners in the individual standings," said Ildar Kaznabaev, a physics teacher at Bashkir Boarding School No. 3 in Sterlitamak.

We should add that the Big Data and Machine Learning Olympiad is included in the Russian Ministry of Education and Science list, giving winners and prize winners the right to apply for a scholarship from the President of the Russian Federation. The status of a winner or prize winner of the Olympiad allows university applicants to apply for bonuses - get 100 points for a specialized Unified State Exam or up to 10 additional points for individual achievements in some universities.

The All-Russian interdisciplinary school Olympiad "National Technological Olympiad" in the Big Data and Machine Learning profile is held by the Association of Participants of Technological Circles and ITMO University with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, Yandex, VK Education and All Cups.
