According to the Minister of Housing and Public Utilities of the Republic of Bashkiria, Irina Golovanova, work is underway to improve drinking water quality for over 33,000 residents of the republic in 2025. In particular, four drinking water supply facilities are planned to be built and 17 to be overhauled.
As part of implementing the federal project "Clean Water," 25 water supply facilities were built and modernized in Bashkiria. As a result, from 2019 to 2024, the share of the population provided with high-quality drinking water increased by 5.7% and reached 92.6%, as reported by the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in Bashkiria.
Water supply facilities have been upgraded in the territories of Alsheevsky, Abzelilovsky, Askinsky, Blagovarsky, Blagoveshchensky, Davlekanovsky, Dyurtyulinsky, Krasnokamsky, Iglinsky, Tuymazinsky, Kugarchinsky, Kiginsky, Ufimsky, Khaibullinsky, Chekmagushevsky, Chishminsky districts, as well as in Sterlitamak, Birsk, Dyurtyuli, Oktyabrsky, where previously the quality of water from central water supply systems did not meet hygienic requirements.
