In Bashkiria, on the border with Tatarstan, the reconstruction of the bridge across the Ik River on the Oktyabrsky-Urussu road, which began in November 2024, continues.
As Bashkiria's Minister of Transport and Road Facilities, Lyubov Minakova, noted, the facility is essential for residents of both republics.
The bridge is more than 238 meters long and 7 meters wide. Eight supports are being built. Then, the bridge builders will begin the next important stage of construction: installing the beams that support the bridge.
"The updated bridge will have safety strips, new fences, lighting and sidewalks for pedestrians on both sides. A lot of work remains to be done, so we plan to complete it in 2026," Minakova reported on her social media.
She added that by 2030 there are plans to bring at least 39 bridges up to standard.
