Deputies propose to introduce free parking days throughout Russia
State Duma deputies have proposed establishing uniform days of free parking on holidays and Sundays throughout Russia, not just in Moscow. The bill's explanatory note states that different regions of the country currently have different rules for providing free parking in paid parking spaces.
"For example, according to the decree of the Moscow government, parking is free not only on Sundays but also on official holidays, while in some other regions, free parking on holidays is not provided. This leads to a situation where citizens of different cities and regions are in unequal conditions, which causes bewilderment and discontent among citizens," the document Izvestia obtained says.
The bill proposes legislatively establishing uniform days of free parking in paid parking spaces nationwide.
