The Central Bank has published another set of answers to residents' questions. Among other things, they explain the advantages of the digital ruble. One of the most important is that no bank will charge a commission when transferring them from one account to another. The tariff for such transactions is zero: digital rubles are transferred free of charge in any amount.
Electronic funds work like "regular" cash or non-cash forms of the ruble; they can be used to pay for purchases and utilities similarly.
The Central Bank emphasized that no one is required to open a digital wallet. Pensioners can receive their pension in the usual way.
"You do not need to write statements refusing to use digital rubles, and you do not need to take them to any institution, including the MFC. Do not open a digital wallet if you do not want to use them. No one can do this for you. You can close a digital wallet at any time," the experts from the Bank of Russia explained.
