President Vladimir Putin amended decree on military district
President Vladimir Putin amended the regulations on the military district of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.
According to the document published on the official Internet portal of legal information, military districts have lost their status as inter-service strategic territorial associations.
In addition, the military district will include the military district administration, associations and formations, military police agencies and units, armed forces organizations, military commissariats stationed on its territory, and, in some cases, Russian military bases outside our country.
The decree also specifies the tasks and functions of the military district as a strategic territorial association in the existing organizational and staff structure.
