There will be no long weekend in February since February 23 falls on Sunday, and the additional day off was moved to May 8. Monday, February 24, is already a full working day. Defender of the Fatherland Day is an official day off in the Russian Federation. According to the law, if a holiday falls on a weekday, it is considered a non-working day, and if it falls on Saturday or Sunday, the day off is moved to Monday or Friday.

So, during the last month of winter, you won’t be able to rest longer on holidays, but Russians will have a vacation from May 8 to 11.
