More than 3.5 thousand children had treatment in new Center for Children's Oncology in Ufa in year
The new Center for Children's Oncology and Hematology in Ufa treated more than 3.5 thousand children in a year. They also performed 916 operations and invasive procedures to remove tumors of various localizations. This was reported by the Minister of Health of the Republic, Airat Rakhmatullin.
He noted that the modern medical complex was built with the support of the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov.
“The Center uses new methods of treating oncological diseases in children - targeted therapy, immunotherapy, high-dose chemotherapy, and new surgical methods. Thanks to complex treatment, the survival rate for tumors has increased to 80%. We will definitely continue to develop high-tech care. Let our children be healthy!” the minister wrote on his social networks.
Earlier, it was reported that the Head of Bashkiria met with patients of the Center for Children's Oncology and Hematology.
