In 2019-2024, within the framework of the federal project "Preservation of Forests" of the national project "Ecology", subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of Bashkiria received more than 700 units of forest fire and forestry equipment, equipment and inventory (tractors, bulldozers, cultivators, plows, fire trucks, etc.). About 400 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget for these purposes, the press service of the department told Bashinform News Agency.
The region's participation in the implementation of the federal project "Preservation of Forests" made it possible to strengthen the material and technical base of forest fire brigades and ensure its 100% equipment.
"A large number of forest fires occur in the Trans-Urals, where impassable mountainous wooded terrain predominates. Thanks to modern technology, forestry workers can quickly reach the fire site and deliver the necessary equipment,” said Marat Sharafutdinov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The forestry equipment fleet has also been significantly updated – by more than 300 units. This has made it possible to effectively carry out forest restoration work.
