Over 6,000 veterans will receive payments for Victory anniversary in Bashkortostan

According to the regional Ministry of Labor, over six thousand veterans in Bashkortostan will receive payments for the anniversary of the Great Victory. The one-time cash incentive will be paid to veterans in April-May 2025. In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, veterans will also be awarded a jubilee medal depicting a soldier installing the Victory Banner on the Reichstag building.

"There are currently 120 participants and disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War, 44 minor prisoners of concentration camps during the Great Patriotic War, and over six thousand home front workers living in Bashkortostan. These are the people who, with their courage, bravery, and devotion to the Fatherland, inspire our soldiers today. As the head of state emphasized, veterans will become the main participants in the upcoming holiday - the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory," said Lenara Ivanova, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Bashkortostan.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on one-time payments to veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 or their widows on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. The anniversary 80 thousand rubles will be received by disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War, veterans, widows, and widowers of service members who died in the Great Patriotic War, in the wars with Finland, Japan, or deceased disabled and participants of the Great Patriotic War.

The exact amount will be paid to prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, and other similar places who were minors at that time.

The decree, published on the country's legal acts portal, specifies that prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and prisons who were already over 18 years old, as well as veterans of the Great Patriotic War who worked "in the rear during the period from June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945 for at least six months, excluding the period of work in the temporarily occupied territories of the USSR"; persons awarded orders or medals of the USSR for selfless work during the war will be paid 55 thousand rubles.
