More than 300 tons of feed have been prepared for wild animals in Bashkiria

The preparation of feed began in the summer. 195 feeding sites and 250 salt licks have been created in the region. Wild animals willingly visit these "diners."

"Every year, our specialists set up feeders for wild animals, prepare brooms for them, and collect berries. This is important for maintaining their population in harsh climatic conditions. During frosts and heavy snowfalls, access to food for many animals, such as elks, wild boars, roe deer, and hares, is significantly hindered. To help animals survive this difficult time, biotechnical measures are being taken in all nature parks and state reserves - grain mixture, root crops, hay, branches, and berries are being placed in feeders and feeding areas," said Niyaz Fazylov, Minister of Nature Management and Ecology of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

To support forest inhabitants of the Asly-Kul, Kandry-Kul, Iremel, Zilim, and Muradymovskoye Gorge nature parks, employees of the Directorate for Specially Protected Natural Areas of the Republic and reserves have prepared about 327 tons of forage grain and mineral fertilizers, including 130 tons of hay and about 28 tons of various root crops.

The Ministry of Ecology specialists added that feeding wild animals helps maintain the population of elk, wild boar, roe deer, hares, and other wild animals in specially protected natural areas.
