

Bashkir city Ishimbay will be awarded the title of "City of Labor Valor and Glory". Secretary of the General Council of "United Russia" Vladimir Yakushev addressed the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, with this proposal.
Ishimbay is among seven other Russian cities that will also be awarded this title. These are Kurgan (Kurgan Region), Verkhnyaya Pyshma (Sverdlovsk Region), Ishimbay (Republic of Bashkortostan), Kovrov (Vladimir Region), Miass (Chelyabinsk Region), Zelenodolsk (Republic of Tatarstan), Leninsk-Kuznetsky (Kemerovo Region) and Salekhard (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug).
The President noted that 25% of oil was produced in Ishimbay during the war, and the residents of Leninsk-Kuznetsky gave the front more than 20 million tons of coal and more than 1.5 million rubles.
