In Ufa, subject of protection of "Sakharov Telegraph" was approved

Bashkir Cultural Heritage, by its order, approved the protection of the cultural heritage site "Sakharov House," built in 1868. The building is known for the fact that from 1907 to 1935, it housed the Ufa telegraph. The mansion stood mothballed for many years, but in recent days, signs of activity have become noticeable. The order describes the architectural, planning, and decorative elements that must be preserved during the work.

Earlier, it was reported that the St. Petersburg construction company «Mega-Invest» owns the house at 61 Chernyshevsky Street. In 2016, the owners tried to sell the historic building for more than 200 million rubles, and in 2022 - for 190 million rubles, the bidding was unsuccessful. Before the sale, the building was reconstructed and unsuccessfully restored. In the block opposite the "Sakharov House," on the demolished dilapidated wooden buildings site, "SZ ISK Ufa" is building new houses.
