Ufa Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius to Open in 2025

Anton Tarasov, head of the Oktyabrsky District Administration of Ufa, posted about the progress of the construction of the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius on his Telegram channel. According to him, the church's opening is scheduled for 2025.

“At the moment, the installation of the folded roof is ongoing. I want to note that the main icon of the church was made to order and has already arrived from Moscow. It will be consecrated and installed soon. The renovation is taking place with the active support of the business community. I thank everyone involved in this bright cause,” said the head of the district administration.

Anton Tarasov noted that in 2024, the Oktyabrsky District of Ufa became “a witness to significant changes and renovations.” One striking example is the reconstruction of the square in front of the fountain "Boy with a Kurai" and Said-Galiyev Boulevard, thanks to the implementation of the large-scale project "From River to River.” The project continues with the territory of the Resurrection Cathedral, the majestic Wrestling Palace, the school under construction in Glumilino, and other objects.

Recall that the fountain with the sculpture "Boy with a Kurai" and the square around it, as well as Said-Galiyev Boulevard, were included in the list of anniversary objects for the 450th anniversary of Ufa. The sculptural composition is on the square before the former Iskra Cinema on Oktyabrya Avenue. It was installed in 1974 according to the design of the Moscow sculptor Margarita Solovieva-Efimova.
