Ufa to host Terra Zima 2024 festival

Ufa will host the Terra Zima 2024 New Year festival, Zukhra Gordiyenko, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of Bashkortostan, announced at an operational meeting of the government of the republic.

“The New Year festival will be held at two venues: Lenin Square and Sovetskaya Square. A big concert will be held at Sovetskaya Square, where the ex-soloist of the Mirage group Natalya Gulkina will perform. In Ufa, as part of the two-day festival, folk festivities, interactive games, competitions and round dances will be organized. On January 1, a festival of carnival costumes will be held, Zukhra Gordiyenko noted.

All tourist sites of the republic are ready to welcome residents and guests of the region during the New Year holidays, added Gordiyenko.

“On December 21, the residence of Kysh Babay (Grandfather Frost) opened in the Toratau Geopark, where one-day tours will be organized. The residence will be open every day from 11:00 to 22:00 until January 12. During the New Year holidays, tourists will also be welcomed at the Tura-Khan visitor center of the Eurasian Museum of Nomadic Civilizations, the historical and cultural complexes On the Land of Salavat and Shulgan-Tash, and excursions to the Yangan-Tau Geopark will be organized.

The Minister of Culture of the Republic, Amina Shafikova, noted that the republican New Year calendar includes more than 28 thousand events.

“Theater and concert organizations hold 2-3 events daily. About 2,000 sessions are planned in cinemas. This year, we are very happy: five more cinemas have opened in the Askinsky, Bakalinsky, Nurimanovsky, and Miyakinsky districts; they are already included in the list, and film sessions are running there.

The acting Minister of Trade and Services Alexey Gusev announced that 300 sites for weekend fairs will be organized in the republic during the New Year holidays.

“There are 39 active fairs in the republic, 348 sites are equipped for street trading. 90 pre-New Year fairs have already been held in districts and cities. More than 100 thousand people visited the trading sites,” Gusev noted.
