Largest airline has introduced discounts for children under 12
Aeroflot has introduced 50% discounts on economy class tickets for children aged 2 to 12. The discount is valid from December 23 to January 1, 2025, when purchasing tickets for dates starting on January 1, 2025.
"The 50% discount for children with Russian citizenship applies to any fare in Economy class across the entire domestic route network and Aeroflot group flights operated under the SU code," the airline said in a statement.
The carrier specified that for fares under preferential programs, for example, state-subsidized transportation, or for "flat" fares (with a fixed price for air tickets that does not depend on the date of purchase and season), the previously established discount amount is retained, the air carrier specified.
Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about introducing discounts on children's air tickets during a direct line.
