Bashkiria to launch new TV channel "Sangat"

Bashkiria will launch a new TV channel, Sangat. Zinnur Suleimanov, the acting vice-rector for educational, creative, and youth policy at the Ufa State Institute of Arts, reported this.

According to him, the Center for Contemporary Drama and Directing of the Republic of Bashkortostan, of which he is the artistic director, and the Bashkortostan film studio won a grant from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives this year to create Sangat, a new creative and educational TV channel about the culture of the Bashkortostan people.

The channel's main content will be dedicated to cultural events and activities held in the Republic of Bashkortostan by professional and amateur groups, including cultural and historical centers and cultural centers of different peoples living in our republic. It is also planned to broadcast patriotic programs.

"One of the cornerstones of the new TV channel will be working on the presidential decree on the preservation of the cultural and spiritual values ​​of our country. At the beginning of next year, we will begin actively collecting content and launch in test mode. The channel will have both cable broadcasting networks and an Internet version in social networks. The official opening is expected in 2025. The exact date will be announced later," the speaker noted.

Zinnur Suleimanov announced this at a meeting of the temporary working group—the commission of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Bashkortostan—regarding implementing the principles of state policy for the preservation and strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values. The group members summarized the work for 2024, outlined plans for the next year, and discussed proposals for holding joint events.
