Russia has introduced electronic visas for eleven more countries

Russia has expanded the list of countries for which a single electronic visa is valid. According to the order signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, 11 countries have been added to the list, including Barbados, Bhutan, Zimbabwe, Jordan, Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkmenistan and Eswatini (formerly Swaziland).

In addition, Serbia and Andorra have been excluded from the list; as the Cabinet noted, they have concluded bilateral agreements on mutual visa-free travel for citizens.

The government reminded that electronic visas are issued on the Russian Foreign Ministry portal for tourist, business, humanitarian, and guest trips. To obtain them, no invitations, hotel reservations, or any other documents confirming the purpose of the trip are required. The registration takes no more than four days. The mechanism began operating on August 1 last year.
