Ufa to host New Year's festival "Vyugovey"

From December 20 to January 29, Ufa will host the New Year's festival "Vyugovey," which has been delighting citizens and guests of the capital of Bashkortostan with bright events, ice compositions, and the atmosphere of a winter fairy tale for 15 years, the city administration reported.

The festival is organized to improve the quality of cultural events, preserve folk traditions, popularize active recreation and a healthy lifestyle, and create conditions for winter leisure for schoolchildren and family recreation.

Several competitions will be held among the city's districts:

"Ufa Ice" - for the best design of ice towns. Slides, labyrinths, and thematic sculptures dedicated to the 450th anniversary of Ufa will be evaluated.

"Vernissage UFA-450" - a competition of ice sculptors. The works can be part of a single sketch of the ice town. Nominations: "Thematic Hero" and "A Gift to Beloved Ufa."

"Father Frost" is a competition held by Father Frost as part of the opening of the Residence of Ufa Father Frost.

"New Year's Miracles" is the best ceremony for opening a district Christmas tree.

A professional jury, including directors, artists, and sculptors, will summarize the competition's results.
