The head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, summing up the work of the republic's delegation on the first day of the "Transport Week" in Moscow, said that most of the meetings concerned the development of the region's road and transport infrastructure.
"We discussed the construction of two bridges during two meetings with the heads of large commercial structures alone. It is currently impossible to finance the construction of a bridge from either the federal or the republican level. Therefore, we are again working on forming a new concession agreement, as at the Eastern exit. The eastern exit is a toll road, but a fairly large number of people use it. We discussed the prospects for restoring roads damaged during the construction of the M-12 highway for residents of four districts in the northern part of the republic. This is critically important because any road implies the destruction of the connecting infrastructure, so we need to restore it here. We are discussing expanding the federal highway R-240 ahead. This bypass from Sterlitamak to Zirgan will start next year, God willing,” Khabirov commented to a correspondent of the Bashinform news agency.
As the head of the republic noted, another key task of the management team is to maximally expand the number of possible flight routes from Ufa to cities in Russia and abroad.
“For example, we asked the Azimuth company to open a route to Samarkand, and they responded. Every year, they open a new flight. Next year, there will be flights to Novokuznetsk. We are currently working on the issue of flights to Gorno-Altaisk within the framework of an agreement with the head of the Altai Republic. This is tourism, the seasonal nature of flights, starting in early spring and ending in late autumn. I think that tourists will flock there. And, of course, we discussed China. The first steps towards this have been taken, and Azimuth superjets can fly to airports in Eastern China. Western China is also interesting - this is precisely China's coast, the industrially developed regions," the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan explained.
