The press service of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Bashkiria reported that Bashkiria residents planted more than 1.5 million forest seedlings during the all-Russian campaign "Save the Forest."
"The task of increasing green wealth united volunteer associations, representatives of government bodies, groups of organizations, young foresters, students, schoolchildren, and the local population. Thus, this fall, the campaign was supported by about 100 thousand people in our republic alone," the Ministry of Forestry of Bashkiria stated.
The seedlings were planted in forests — on the territory of the state forest fund. They mainly planted economically valuable tree species — pine and spruce.
"Considering the specifics of individual regions and the wishes of beekeepers, linden seedlings were also planted," said the acting. Minister of Forestry of Bashkortostan Marat Sharafutdinov added that the campaign makes an essential contribution to the implementation of the national project "Ecology" of the federal project "Preservation of Forests." - Every year, the area of planted territories increases significantly, and this is the right step towards improving the environmental situation in Russia."
