Specialists of Rospotrebnadzor of Bashkiria told "Elektrogazeta" about the fight against a dangerous disease: pneumonia. This disease attacks a vital part of the respiratory system: lung tissue.

Viruses, bacteria, and fungi cause the disease. Often, pneumonia is a complication of a cold or flu. Therefore, you cannot ignore the symptoms of respiratory infections, and you need to go to the doctor immediately.

An effective way to combat this is vaccination. Vaccinations should be given against Haemophilus influenza and pneumococcal infection, flu, measles, and whooping cough, significantly reducing the risk of developing severe forms of pneumonia. Vaccinating people from risk groups, such as those with asthma, diabetes, and other chronic diseases, is essential.

For prevention, it is essential to monitor hygiene: regularly wash your hands, cover your mouth when coughing, and use masks in crowded places. This will help prevent the spread of infection.
