Residents of Bashkiria will be able to observe the opposition of the Sun and Uranus. According to the Ufa City Planetarium, on November 17 at 05.36 Moscow time, the seventh planet will oppose the central celestial body. The moment of opposition is the best period for observing the Earth since, at this time, the planet is visible all night and, getting as close to the Earth as possible has the most significant visible diameter and brightness.

On November 17, Uranus rises in the evening in the northeast at 17.05 Ufa time and is visible all night. It grows to its maximum height above the horizon of 53 degrees at 1 am. It will be set in the morning at 09.04. It is visible in the constellation Taurus.

At the moment of opposition, the distance from the Earth to Uranus will be 2,778.4 million km, almost 19 times further than the distance from the Earth to the Sun. The brightness of Uranus will reach a maximum value of +5.6m stellar magnitude, and the apparent diameter will be 3.8 arc seconds.
