Bashkiria exported large quantities of sawn timber to 5 countries in week

According to the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration in Bashkiria, 36 batches of timber and sawn timber with a total volume of over 1,360 cubic meters were shipped from the Beloretsk region to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Mongolia from October 17 to 24.

The selected samples of wood and round timber products underwent laboratory examinations in the Bashkir testing laboratory, which is subordinate to Rosselkhoznadzor.

"According to the results of the studies, no quarantine pests were detected in the coniferous and deciduous wood samples. Bashkir products fully comply with the requirements of importing countries," the supervisory agency concluded.

As Bashinform reported, in the first 8 months of 2024, Bashkiria's foreign trade turnover increased by 9 percent compared to the same indicator in 2023. The volume of exports increased by 7.7 percent during this time.
