Izvestia reports that parking lots near multi-story residential buildings may be reduced. The publication reports on the federal government's intentions to introduce flexible regulations on the number of parking spaces on housing construction sites, citing a roadmap submitted to the government by the Ministry of Transport. By December 2025, the Russian Ministry of Construction must change the relevant standards. This is assumed to reduce the load on the city's transport network.
The changes may come into force as early as 2026. This will allow the construction of multi-story buildings with a minimum number of parking lots. In addition, it is proposed that all parking spaces be inventoryed and entered into a digital registry. Each public place must provide parking spaces for people with disabilities. They will be monitored automatically using cameras.
Earlier, Bashinform reported that Bashkiria will receive a federal subsidy in 2024 to develop intelligent transport systems.
