Russian regions will receive 12.4 billion rubles for social support for housing and communal services

Russian regions will receive more than 12.4 billion rubles to provide social support measures for housing and communal services. This benefit is provided to veterans, disabled people, and citizens affected by radiation or man-made disasters. They receive compensation from the federal budget—up to 50% of the housing and communal services cost.

There is also a subsidy for housing and communal services - it is provided if the costs of paying for housing and communal services exceed the maximum permissible share of citizens' expenses in the total family income, namely:

- for large and single-parent families - 13%;

- for single citizens who have reached the age of men - 60 years, women - 55 years - 18%;

- for single citizens who have reached the age of 70 years - 16%;

- for other categories of citizens - 20%.

As Bashinform reported, this year, the process of receiving a subsidy has been simplified.
