In Bashkiria, heirs were paid 124.4 million rubles of funded pensions

In Bashkiria, since the beginning of 2024, 2.5 thousand successors have received 124.4 million rubles of their relatives' pension savings.

"These funds were formed by people for whom employers made mandatory contributions to the funded pension from 2002 to 2013. In addition, they are available to citizens who made contributions within the framework of the state co-financing program for pension savings. In the event of the death of a citizen before the appointment of a payment from pension savings, these amounts can be paid to the successors," the Social Fund for the Republic of Bashkiria explained.

The owner of pension savings can choose successors and determine the shares of the distribution of funds between them during their lifetime by submitting a corresponding application. Without such application, the first-priority successors can receive pension savings: children, including adopted children, spouses, parents and adoptive parents. Without first-priority successors, the savings may be received by second-priority successors — brothers, sisters, grandfathers, grandmothers, and grandchildren.

The successor may apply the payment of pension savings within six months after the relative's death. If this deadline is missed, the right to receive funds will need to be restored in court, explained the SF experts.

As Bashinform reported earlier, 33,010 mothers and 1,690 fathers receive childcare benefits in the republic.
