The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Bashkiria reported that about 5,000 large families in Bashkiria can extend the benefits of paying for utilities.
The benefit is provided to low-income large families, veterans, people with disabilities, and those affected by radiation.
Since 2024, benefits have been retained for low-income large families with children under 23 years of age studying at universities and colleges. This year, this measure will affect 4,777 families.
This year, the republic has significantly reduced the time frame for deciding whether to provide a benefit from 10 to just 2 working days, providing much-needed relief to families in need.
Generally, a family is considered large if it raises three or more minor children, including adopted or guardianship children. At the same time, a family has the status of a large family if it has student children under the age of 23.
A family whose per capita income does not exceed the subsistence minimum in Bashkortostan — 13,753 rubles per month — is considered low-income.
