The Moon and Saturn met over Bashkiria
Last night, the Moon and Saturn met in the sky over Bashkiria. Bashinform journalist Stanislav Shakhov captured the astronomical event. The footage shows the planet's rings, also called gas giants, since they are mainly filled with hydrogen and helium.
Saturn can be observed for several more days. On October 17, it will be visible in the east at 19:18 Ufa time, almost simultaneously with the Moon. The luminaries will be visible all night in the constellation Aquarius. At dawn, 50 minutes before sunrise, Saturn will set behind the horizon in the west, and an hour later, the Moon will disappear below the horizon.
It was previously reported that residents of Bashkiria will see the largest supermoon of the year.
