In Ufa, 193 thousand people rode river trams
The river cruise season ends in Ufa this week. One hundred ninety-three thousand people used river transport services this summer, the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, reported on his social networks.
This year, 20 cruise ships called in Ufa brought about 4 thousand tourists. The exact number was recorded in 2023.
"Special thanks for this to the administration of the Kama Basin of Inland Waterways, which annually carries out dredging work that allows us to accept multi-deck vessels," the head of the republic noted.
Radiy Khabirov said that work on developing water transport will continue. "The plans include paying attention to the berthing infrastructure in Ufa, Dyurtyuli, Birsk, Agidel, and Nikolo-Berezovka in the Krasnokamsk District. And, of course, we need to update the pleasure river fleet," he said.
