Bashkiria celebrates Agricultural Workers Day

Bashkiria marks a significant occasion by celebrating Agricultural Workers Day, a day that is highly important in the region's agricultural sector.

The second Sunday of October is Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers Day. The head of the Bashkir Cabinet congratulated them on their professional holiday. Andrey Nazarov writes in his social networks:

Bashkortostan, a region of remarkable agricultural prowess, leads Russia in the number of cows and horses and is a top-three contender in dairy production.

Bashkortostan fully provides milk, meat, grain, and vegetables and exports its food products to 44 countries!

This year, we again faced difficult weather conditions, but despite this, Bashkortostan has harvested 3 million tons of grain. We expect a record sugar beet harvest in the republic's history—more than 2.5 million tons.

Over the past five years, under the leadership of the Head of the Republic, we have implemented 12 major investment projects in the processing of agricultural products. About 8 billion rubles were invested in them, and another 16 are in development for approximately the same amount.

The President of our country has set a task - to increase the volume of agricultural production by 25% by 2030 and its exports - by 1.5 times. These are serious figures: at least 4 million tons of grain, at least 1 million tons of milk, and 550 thousand tons of meat and poultry annually. I am sure we will cope: we have all the opportunities and resources, and most importantly - people who are selflessly devoted to their work and strive to make Bashkortostan even better."

The Acting Prime Minister thanked the workers of the agro-industrial complex and processing for their selfless work and wished them health and new successes in their work for the benefit of Bashkiria.
