A Ufa resident did not become a victim of scammers because he read the news and knew about many "scam" schemes. The 48-year-old city resident reported an attempted fraud to the police. He said that he received a call allegedly from a social fund with an offer to extend the validity of the insurance policy. Then, they tried to get his data via video link.
The scammers claimed that the Ufa resident's savings were in danger and offered to transfer almost 600,000 rubles to a "safe" account.
Fortunately, the applicant guessed who he was talking to and ended the conversation. The scammers continued to call him, but the Ufa resident stopped answering.
And in Salavat, a 45-year-old teacher lost the same amount.
