Bashkiria farmers have harvested three million tons of grain from the fields, equal to 95% of the area of all grain and leguminous crops. The Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, wrote about this on his social networks.
As the head of the region added, specialists have started harvesting sunflowers and dug up 2/3 of the sugar beet area.
“Weather conditions are difficult this year. Due to heavy rains in July and August, we were forced to declare a state of emergency in 54 districts. Now, the situation has leveled out. Our grain growers have almost made up for lost time. They harvest 2.17 tons per hectare, which yields higher than last year. All this results from our farmers' professionalism and great diligence. I thank them for this work,” Khabirov noted.
The head of Bashkiria emphasized that the republic has already purchased over 16,000 units of agricultural machinery for 56 billion rubles in five years.
